Agricultural ServicesAgriculture is a vital part of the economy of Southwest Georgia and the nation, and Sumter EMC appreciates the relationship it has with our member-owners in the agricultural community. Although far fewer people make a living farming the land today than when the Rural Electrification program began, the need for reliable and affordable electric service is even more important to the success of today's farms than it was in 1937 when Sumter EMC was started.
