Refunds available to replace electric furnace with heat pump

Sumter EMC will offer a $400/ton rebate to any qualifying member who changes out an electric furnace to a high-efficiency heat pump which has a SEER rating of 13 or higher.........

Board announces revised electric service rates

The Board of Directors approved revised retail electric service rates which will become effective January 1, 2012. The Board took action to adjust rates following a comprehensive rate study conducted by GDS Associates. The Marietta, Georgia-based firm provides consulting assistance to electric utilities throughout the United States. The overall impact of the rate changes to all classes of consumers, in the aggregate, is an increase of 2.4 percent........

Last date to claim Sumter EMC capital credit refunds is September 30, 2012

In compliance with O.C.G.A. §44-12-236 of The Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act, Sumter EMC is attempting to locate former members whose capital credit checks were issued in June 2007, but which have been returned by the U.S. Post Office as "undeliverable" or have otherwise been unclaimed. The last possible date to claim these funds is September 30, 2012........
