Sumter EMC Electric Service Rates
The Board of Directors approved revised retail electric service rates as listed below, effective January 1, 2012. The Board took action to adjust rates following a comprehensive rate study conducted by GDS Associates. The Marietta, Georgia-based firm provides consulting assistance to electric utilities throughout the United States.
The overall impact of the rate changes to all classes of consumers, in the aggregate, is an increase of 2.4 percent. For the residential class as a whole, the rate change is 1.4 percent. That percentage will vary based upon usage level. There was no change to the outdoor lighting rate.
